Cibo e Vino

So

Just got back from dinner with julz (god julz rocks) n gillian, (god i love gillian). We went to the this place called Cibo e Vino, i think its pronounced Chee-bo eh Veeno, my pronounciation rocks! which means food and wine in italian, which is important because the place serves italian food.

Also present were both older sisters, nicola and bec, my sister. Who spent alot of time looking at bags and such in a fashion magazine, come to think of it... i was outnumbered 4 to 1 by girls and felt completely comfortable... thats really weird! (shut up).

We ordered some pretty snazzy stuff:
Entree
  • French fries in chilli and rosemary
  • Foccacia bread
when he had finished all the chips, julz's dad came over and started eating the chillis, so i tried to make gillian eat the rosemary, failing to see how she would digest a small tree branch, i settled for "suck my rosemary"

Mains
  • Penne pasta, now this was the shit, it was sooooooo good, like, awesome pasta, and it came with this beef that was just delish n stuff and yeah, best main.
  • Duck
  • Beef
  • Lamb
  • Cabonarra with sausagee
So after the penne pasta it just became a complete meat fest and i swear the lamb was still bleeding, but then i realised it was just red wine... alot of red wine :P. the duck was pretty good, and it came on top of pumpkin stuff and pommegranet seeds, the beef was really really good too, except it had a lot of celery in it, and i only eat celery with peanut butter. Cabonarra sucked, the sausage was like... ew. I know eh, hard to believe sausage could taste bad.

Desserts (BEST PART)
  • Orange and Noughat ice cream
  • Chocolate soufle cake
  • Trifle with vanilla custard, red wine jelly, sponge cake and sugared almonds
Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum, like really really. The soulfe was like, a cake on the outside, but chocolate sauce on the inside, because it just melted in your mouth, and the orange ice cream is always good, its like, a real orange flavour, not a fake orange flavour, the trifle was really nice too, sugared almonds are unbelievably nice because their both crunchy and super sweet, what is it... contrast between texture and taste? such a food critic.

pretty happy with the food, and there was alot of talking about... movies... clothes... shiny things... parents... things our parents do that make them funny... things our parents do that make us condemn them... yeah

totally thinking of having my 19th birthday here so stay tuned

i give it 4 and a half rotten bananas of approval
